Thankfully, the most expensive and highest risk of delay legs have already been booked with the flexible fare class and funded. One way flights from Houston to Qaanaaq are completely paid for and reserved. The remaining flights are the return from Qaanaaq to Upernavik and then to Nuuk. There is also one helicopter journey to Savissivik that is subject to permit approval and weather. I will need to secure a permit to transit through the US Pituffik Space Base. The alternate boat arrangement would be cost prohibitive as it takes at least 8 hours one way.
