As many of you know, my goal is to one day form a foundation or public-private partnership to allow all Greenlanders the opportunity to visit Nunavut (Canada) and Alaska at least once. That’s what I want to spend the rest of my life to making a reality. But I don’t have that many connections in Nunavut yet. I’d like to change that.

I have only been to Nunavut once on a cruise and I’d like to go back. Air Greenland connects Nuuk and Iqaluit and then there are flights that take you north. Pond Inlet has been calling my name for ages and now that I have the time, I’d like to make it up there.

I’d like to compare and contrast Indigenous-led conservation efforts. These include like humane polar bear management that respects both community livelihoods and wildlife as I move my ideas forward.

These funds support one week of hotel, transportation, and activities to get to know people in the town introduced to me from my connections in Greenland. My hope is to stay for 2 weeks.
