Didier and Amélie stay with their grandmother, Jacqueline, and breeder at Lone Start Bichons. This is where I got both dogs from the same stud (they’re half brother and sister). In 2024, they stayed with grandma for 4 months. In 2025, it was 6 months. And in 2026 to date, 1 month.

The dog business is volatile so we pay for the babysitting. I get an amazing deal of $30/day for both dogs and instead of being locked up in a kennel, they live in the house with grandma and their sisters and cousins.

Didi loves to be in charge, train the puppies and secure the perimeter. While Amélie patiently waits for my return like Hachiko (the legendary Japanese dog that was loyal to his owner even after his death and Hachiko waited at the station for his owner to return for 8 years).
